Parents may notice their children are limping, and may have difficulty walking in the morning. Bruises may accompany a sudden ankle injury, and this typically causes pain and discomfort. Additionally, stress fractures can  gradually occur from repetitive motion that often comes from engaging in sports that include basketball and volleyball.
